Paisely Brooch

The pattern takes its cues from the Zoroastrian symbol for life and fertility, which combines a cypress tree with a floral shower. The paisley pattern first became well-known in the 16th century when it was linked to opulent Kashmir shawls. In mid-to-late 1960s, Paisley gained widespread appeal and became associated with the psychedelic movement.
